Utility Technology Engineers-Consultants (UTEC)
provides electrical engineering design, analysis and consulting
services to utilities and industries. J. Ted Orrell and Gary W. Mullis founded the company in 1989. John S. Brown joined the firm as a partner in 1991. UTEC's home office is in Asheboro, NC, with a branch office in Spartanburg, SC.
UTEC and its subsidiary companies,
Computer Consulting Group (CCG) and Facility Consulting Group
(FCG), provide engineering and consulting services to
utility, governmental, and industrial clients. UTEC and its subsidiary companies have a staff of twenty-four including
seven electrical engineers, one mechanical engineer, two structural engineers, two PC technicians, five
building/roof consultants and technicians, two CAD designers and four clerical staff. Our engineering staff averages over
26 years of experience.
